Easy recipe for Air Fryer shrimp that cooks in less than 5 minutes!
Peel the uncooked shrimp.
Preheat air fryer to 350°F
Toss shrimp in blackened seasoning, or simply season with salt and pepper if you prefer.
Place shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 3-4 minutes for medium shrimp, it cooks very fast so take care not to overcook it and check it after a few minutes. Exact timing will vary depending on model of air fryer and size of shrimp.
Serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
Place the frozen shrimp into the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for up to 5 minutes for frozen cooked shrimp, or for up to 10 minutes for raw frozen shrimp. It's best to check it a few minutes in so you do not overcook the shrimp.
Exact cook time will vary depending on the size of the shrimp and the model of air fryer.
Serving Size - 1/4 lb of shrimp per person. Nutrition is approximate and includes blackened seasoning, but not the optional lemon juice.
Storage - Air Fried Shrimp is best eaten as soon as you cook it, but you can store it in the fridge for three to four days.
Seasoning - I used homemade blackened seasoning but you can use salt and pepper, or any other seasoning you prefer.
Cook Time - is approximate based on using medium raw shrimp so you will need to adjust it up or down based on the shrimp you have, and also depends on your model of air fryer. Shrimp cooks very fast so I'd advise you to check it as you go to avoid overcooking.
